A class-leading 2.4 liter DOHC engine delivers power that satisfies the driving enthusiast: 185HP at 6,500 rpm (MT) and 170 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,000 rpm. A variable induction system, electronic throttle control, 10:1 compression ratio, and friction-reduction technology add power while a balancer reduces vibration. A maintenance-free timing chain, drop-forged connecting rods and forged steel crankshaft add durability, while weight is minimized with lightweight components including an aluminum block, cylinder head and intake manifold.

Standard Electronic Stability Control uses a yaw sensor, lateral accelerometer and steering angle sensor working with the anti-lock braking and traction control systems to assist in keeping the vehicle headed in the direction the driver intended. ESP provides the driver with superb responsiveness, and great control.

Kizashi is offered with a sophisticated AWD system typically not found in the mid-size vehicle segment. Suzuki's AWD with I-VSP (Intelligent Vehicle Stability Program) evaluates vehicle dynamics via sensor data that constantly measures steering angle, yaw rate, and cornering loads. The system then controls steering torque assist and front / rear traction distribution. Best of all, I-VSP operates at the very early stages of traction reduction, enhancing the driving experience.
