The program consists of various warranty components including a 10-year or 100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty, a five-year or 60,000 mile limited basic warranty, and a five-year or 100,000 mile limited anti-perforation warranty, each of which provides coverage until either the yearly or total mileage figure is reached, whichever occurs first. In addition to this warranty coverage, the program includes a five-year/unlimited mileage roadside assistance plan.

Limitations of Coverage

The Kia 10 Year / 100,000 Mile Warranty Program consists of various limited warranties, including limited basic and limited powertrain, and limited anti-perforation warranties, plus a roadside assistance and trip interruption program. For vehicles in commercial use, the powertrain warranty is limited to five-years or 60,000 miles, which ever comes first. A limited number of 2000 model year vehicles put in use by Kia Motors America, Inc. as demonstrators or company vehicles before sale or lease to original retail purchasers or lessees do not come with the 10 Year / 100,000 Mile Warranty Program coverage. These vehicles are warranted under Kia's standard 3-year/36,000 limited Basic Warranty and 5-year/60,000 mile Power Train Warranty. Our toll-free hotline is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and is accessible from anywhere in the U.S. The number's simple enough you can remember it even while fuming about the kids locking the keys in the car: 1-800-333-4KIA.

Emergency Roadside Assistance
A free phone call isn't of much use if it doesn't result in someone coming to your rescue. As such, we have set up a network of over 17,000 roadside assistance providers. They'll help you out of the usual little mishaps -- dead batteries, flats (provided you have a spare that isn't flat), out of gas -- free.* We also have a network of over 10,000 locksmiths to help you when your coat hanger fails, also free of charge. You will be asked for your signature on a little slip of paper. But unless you're someone really famous, you're still basically getting away free.*

In the event of a warrantable concern that can't be fixed on the spot, we'll see to it you're towed at no cost to the nearest Kia dealer or an Alternate Service Location (ASL), whichever is closer. Needless to say, if you have a warranty-related concern, repairs are on the house.

If you have the misfortune to break down after-hours, on a weekend, or a holiday, your vehicle will be towed and stored by a Kia-approved vendor, and taken to the nearest dealer or ASL on the next business morning. Now you Sportage drivers. We know at some point you'll be heading off into the great beyond. So before you do, we ought to tell you, roadside assistance is precisely that. If your vehicle isn't accessible to our service vehicle, we can't help you. So drive carefully, and always tread lightly.

Trip Interruption Policy
If you experience a warranty-related breakdown more than 150 miles from home, and the repairs take more than 24 hours, Kia will reimburse you for pre-authorized food, lodging and transportation expense (up to $300 per incident-- be sure to keep your receipts). Once you have been authorized for trip interruption benefits, the Kia Consumer Assistance Center will even help you in making any necessary arrangements. Please note that insurance deductibles, expenses, and claims paid by your insurance company or other provider are not eligible for reimbursement. Neither are shopping binges at the local trendy boutiques.

Suzuki Warranty Information

A fully transferable, zero-dollar deductible 100,000-mile/7-year powertrain limited warranty on all new vehicles sold after August 1, 2002.

  • Duration - Suzuki's powertrain limited warranty covers 100,000 miles or 7 years, whichever comes first.
  • Transferable - The powertrain warranty can be transferred from owner to owner, adding value at the time of resale or trade-in.
  • Deductible - There is no deductible, so Suzuki owners won't have an out-of-pocket expense.

Suzuki's New Vehicle Limited Warranty

Suzuki's New Vehicle Limited Warranty: Covers all components of the vehicles as supplied by Suzuki for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. There is no deductible. Any repairs to correct defects in materials or workmanship will be made with no charge for parts or labor. Certain restrictions apply; see warranty information booklet for details. The battery is covered for 24 months or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first. Should original body sheet metal panels develop perforation due to corrosion, they're covered for 60 months, with no limit on mileage. Tires are covered by a separate warranty from the tire manufacturer.

Roadside Assistance Program

All new Suzuki vehicles are covered during the 36,000-mile/3-year new vehicle limited warranty period. Roadside Assistance is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, in the U.S. and Canada. Available services include tire changes, jumpstarts, lockout service, mechanical repairs, and towing to the nearest Suzuki dealer or authorized service center.

Warranty Repair Courtesy Vehicle Program

If your SUZUKI vehicle is rendered inoperable, unsafe or illegal to operate and is required to stay overnight at a participating SUZUKI authorized dealer to complete a warranty repair during the 36 month/36,000 mile new vehicle warranty period, your participating SUZUKI authorized dealer will provide a courtesy rental vehicle of its choice through an appointed rental company. Accessories Warranty

Genuine Suzuki Accessories are covered for 12 months/unlimited mileage from the date of purchase, or until the end of the 3 year/36,000 mile new vehicle basic warranty, whichever is later. Certain restrictions apply; see warranty information booklet for details.

While a customer support program, not a limited warranty, the Warranty Repair Courtesy Vehicle Program is administered through your participating SUZUKI authorized dealer and an appointed rental company selected by the dealer. As a retail non-commercial purchase or lease customer, if your SUZUKI vehicle is rendered inoperable, unsafe or illegal to operate and is required to stay overnight at a participating SUZUKI authorized dealer to complete a warranty repair during the 36 month/36,000 mile new vehicle warranty period, your participating SUZUKI authorized dealer will provide a courtesy rental vehicle of its choice through an appointed rental company. If your vehicle is being repaired at a non-participating SUZUKI authorized dealer, prior written authorization must be obtained from American Suzuki Motor Corporation ("ASMC") and, at its discretion, ASMC may provide $35.00 per day rental reimbursement for up to 5 days for mechanical repairs covered by the New Vehicle Limited Warranty. It is the customer's responsibility to file a rental vehicle reimbursement claim directly with ASMC within 15 days of the repair or said claim shall be deemed forfeited.

This coverage for a warranty related covered repair is limited to a maximum of 5 days when parts and labor are required and a maximum of 3 days on labor only repairs. This does not include additional insurance coverage or fuel used. Driver must meet rental requirements imposed by the rental company. The rental company may impose the following restrictions upon the customer: (a) a credit card with sufficient credit for a monetary hold amount; (b) a prohibition on drivers under 25 years of age, or additional daily fees for young renters; and (c) extra deposits and other fees.
